Agreed.
I've contacted Openreach by emailing the CEO and spoke to someone within the complaints team. I have asked whether surveys of the underground distribution point have been conducted and if FTTP can be deployed without additional engineering work due to congested ducts. They will speak to the PM in charge of FTTP deployments in my area to confirm this.
If the ducts are not congested, They will see if I can I'll be added to the build plan. If not and the underground distribution point is indeed congested, it will be a longer wait due to cost/engineering requirements.
To answer the question raised by @
candlerb on what I want from Openreach, I want them to look to see whether my address can be added to the build plan or whether I can be added under the Openreach sweeper program. I am not special, deploying FTTP through the UK is a monumental task. Sometimes addresses are missed due to cost and build complexity, but I do not see any harm in asking as things change all the time.
