FTTP order placed mid July with installation for mid Aug. Then advised by openreach they need to replace pole outside my house. Now mid March and still waiting. Many, many missed appointments, despite road closure booked with council, and then constant ‘check back in 2 weeks’ for an update which just repeats on a cycle. In Jan openreach simply cancelled the pole work ‘by mistake’ setting the whole thing back to square one again. No apologies. EE is ISP and have tried everything, is with their escalation team, I went through ombudsman, as its openreach they can’t force any action. All agreed situation is absurd. In the end found way to contact openreach executive and things now more hopeful, but let’s see. Three house all waiting on same pole to get FTTP. Is this experience normal, anyone tried anything else that worked?
