OR street pole equipment

On my lockdown walks have noticed OR installing equipment I presume is part of the FTTP rollout. They have been doing since summer time as I saw them pulling cables through the pavement in my road in July.

In other roads with poles am curious to know what the plug like device in picture one does and what the two dome items do in picture two?
Also one pole had a cable which looked similar to the end part of a bike handlebar with a looped black cable.

Had a look on the street furniture article which was very interesting but did not seem to have these.

The top picture just looks like something to manage excess cable spool, since the core cable just seems to be wrapped around it a few times. The one at the bottom is covered in our street furniture article at the bottom of page 2 - fibre nodes, joints and splitters. You'll find a lot of optical fibres stacked in multiple trays inside that dome.
