18 months ago the “up-to 5mb” broad service I had from Pipex dropped to 300kbs. I complained by phone, then via their web site, got nowhere, no call-backs, etc. So I said that unless they fixed it I would terminate the contract.
They then tried to charge me for that and the next month and an early termination charge. I didn’t pay and complained, got the usual crap, i.e. it’s your fault not ours! So I complained to Otelo, only to find that they are as bad as Pipex!
They say that they have written to me within their findings – in Pipex’s favour, but I have not received their letters. It is only in my interest to read and respond to them as this is now a matter of principle inconceivable that I wouldn’t respond to them!
We’re only talking about £50 and I know that “principles” can cost you dear, but feel that I have to go on. So I have now written back to Otelo under the Freedom of Information Act to get a copy of their file including Pipex’s responses and a screen dump of the properties page for the letters they say(!) they have written.
Has anyone else had any experience of Otelo?
