Chinese version is unlocked version. You have to backup the QCN file from existing firmware and upload after you flash to chinese version.

Seems like you have bought it in Europe. TIM

Have you backed up the QCN at any point?

I have been testing Zyxel NR7101 for almost a full day
I ordered it to try to improve download speeds. Previously phone hotspots could only produce ~300Mbit/s peak speed, this changed with the zyxel and I got ~600Mbit's peak speed!
However I'm unhappy with the purchase. First of all, while peaks changed, I have to let the download run for a couple of minutes to reach peak speed. This isn't the case with my phone, which instantly gets 600Mbit/s - 1000Mbit/s, depending on position. The speeds between hotspot and nr7101 are identical for the first minute or so.
Another thing is lack of documentation and truly awful OS. The quectel module inside is capable of 5C CA with a simple update, but there's no easy way to do that on nr7101. You have to do r00ter -> qfirehose -> update -> flash back to original FW if you want. I have no idea how to do any of these things yet. Even worse, I have no idea if 5C CA will help my case, as I'm truly unaware of what is stopping me from getting 1Gbit/s speeds. My phone can do it easily and it cost just a little more than the router.
So far I've tried every latest update (which actually take some digging to find) and the only option left is R13A01. If that doesn't help, I am likely returning it and trying another option.

Any one backup qcn file, my device didn't lost the imei number, but still dont connect the internet, who can help me

Just purchased the ZTE MC7010 5G new from eBay £120 and excited for it's arrival Tuesday/Wed and will be comparing it to a Huawei PRO2.

Not sure what firmware it is running yet but this thread has lots of information many thanks members,

since my mc7010 dont work, now i am using my Xiaomi Phone to share a hotspot, now it seems not bad ,but it only can use NSA , not SA , coz i only use in door, the signal of SA is very weak.

I was trying to connect the device , and.backup the qcn file, but it seems like the spc code is not correct, anyone knows the spc code?

Ok the router arrived today and checked it over quick to see what software version is on it and it states it is Software Version MC7010_Telenort_B06.

Which is the best firmware to date for the UK for this router and do I have to back up some qcn file or something before I flash the new firmware if so can someone give me a step by step guide on how to do this please also a link to the UK firmware if possible as I don't want to brick it.

I will also say it is well made much better than any other router I've had in the past and going to check if it's unlocked as only tried a 3 sim in it so far.

I can never find any on eBay. Any tips?

Ok I think this router has a problem when connecting to 5g. It connects to 4gLTE and LTE+ most times even though it states it is on 5g at the top of the menu page but when you go into more information no 5g bands detected.

Now I have had it working on 5g and got speeds around 400-500Mbps down and 5Mbps up and this was done by enabling and disabling the band locks On/Off N78. Sometimes it connects ( Not Very Often ) as it stays on 4g.

Had enough of this router spent yesterday fixing a pole to the Chimney but I could not get the 5g to connect even though it was 15ft higher than when it was on the front of my house.

It was directing the same was as when it was fixed to my front downspout and the antenna was set to directional the same.

I have a feeling something is wrong with this router I purchased from eBay so it is being returned and a shame really as I do like the quality and performance when it did connect.

@ljw2k
I guess I'll be on the look out for a faulty MC7010 to tinker with! :D

Maybe someone else here can help tho, so don't give up just yet :)

I would probably try updating to the latest available Chinese firmware through the ZTE Framework tool, but of course that will change the situation with eBay if the issue remains, or worse, creates mores issues!

Well I am fed up with it TBH and a shame as I really like the build of this.

I will be returning it to eBay Monday so indeed it might come back on auction.

It actually cost me £130 not £120 like I thought.

Guys,

can you please help me to find MC7010 Elisa firmware?

MC7010_Elisa4_B12

I could not find it in russian website. Any ideas where it can be found?
