Outdoor CPEs

As Lucian says, quite a huge difference in supported bands for the ZTE.
Thankyou @Lucian and @The Wee Bear. ! I bought the MC7010. I am wondering if there is any way to enable SSH. The web interface only has very basic settings exposed. I have read through this thread and my understanding is that without flashing a custom firmware it isn't possible to enable SSH?

@stich86 may be able to elaborate, but what kind of things would you like to do via ssh?

The thing defaults to bridge/passthrough, you plug it into your router and forget about it.

Ssh is enabled on custom f/w but the only thing I personally found useful with it is the ability to remove cell lock without defaulting the unit.

only way to enable ssh is re-packing the sysfs and flash unit again. What do you want from web interface? just to understand :)

Hello everyone. Using mc7010 in finland and i have really weird issue with it. It was working fine until we connect a second mesh and a gaming computer to it with a ethernet cables, after that the speed crashed to 4, 5 or 6 mbps. Before that speed was 170.
Tried to reset everything but nothing seems to work and i dont now what to do anymore.

hello im also a user of zte mc7010 but here in the philippines our isp SMART block the imei of third party 5g modem, the modem still receive 5g signals but wont connect even if changing frequency or restoring factory settings. I have read somewhere that i need to change the imei so that i can still connect to 5g. Anyone already tried to change the imei of their mc7010?
I did, I'm also from the PH and yes indeed smart blocks the imei of 5G modems therefore changing it solves it. The only downside is you can only install the PLY firmware as changing the imei randomize the admin password on other firmwares and only PLY firmware defaults it to "admin" password which is sucks.

No need to change firmware.. you can change IMEI without swap it ;)

i see, but for me i can't as no tutorial available without changing/reflashing firmware and therefore my firmware from Global version to PLY version(which is sucks and buggy)

hello sir can you help us about changing imei without flashing?
sure.. but we still need to dump unit and QCN, then erase EFS and restore QCN with new IMEI

anyway I don't know if this argument is allowed on ISPreview forums. So I cannot give you a tutorial here on how to do it :)

Hello, does anyone know how to change the TTL value? My ISP just did a change that throttle my speed to 40 Mbps which is slow for 5G. Changing ttl seems to fix it

Which firmware you recommend for regular 7010? Currently I have PLY B3. I can see I can find B4 in the internet also PLY, but somehow device does not want to update itself. In 801a I noticed, that when there is n1 band, only 1 LTE is being aggregated. I will play with ZTE manager to change it (worked for 801a). Would be great if there is firmware which aggregates more than 1 band with N1 (like 3,7,20).

Hello, i have mc7010CA any news about unlock? i reflesh all available firmware but results are no service.
MC7010CA has it's own firmware.. you can change it to other MC7010 plain unit (like MC7010D)

so you need to restore a compatible firmware (Rogers or Telus) and relative QCN

Hello, I'm using a MC7010D from three in Portugal and it's stuck on H3G_GB_MC7010DV1.00B09
I know that there are other builds but I don't have a threeUK SIM nor I'm going to the UK soon. Is there any other way to flash a newer firmware? I'm also looking for a way to unlock additional CA combos (my smartphone also has the same snapdragon modem and can do CA on B1+B3+B8+B20 + N78 but it seems that this firmware doesn't do that CA combo

you can check CA combos here: https://uecapability.smartphonecombo.it/view/multi/?id=3bb37aaf-e741-417d-80f7-1954c15c8d8a

with B8 is not possible to have also B20, B20 is only with B7

Regarding last firmware, you can drop me a msg and we can get in touch, I can upload my version that is based on B10 (latest avaliable) ;)
