Outlook 2003

I have just moved on to DSL from Dial Up. Most things went well except from my Outlook email accounts who insist on collecting email using my old dial-up account rather than DSL! Does anyone know which Radio button I should be ticking in the the Connection Tab of the Email Account plus any other things I need to change?

Many thanks

Hi,

PersonallY I would choose Connect Using My Local Area Network (LAN). If you are going to be leaving your connection on then this will work fine. However, if you have your connection set to dial as soon as you open Internet Explorer, etc then choose the "Connect using Internet Explorer's dialler" option.

If that is already set, then go into Internet Explorer - go to Tools, then Internet Options - choose the Connections tab. You should see your connections listed - make sure your ADSL connection is highlighted, then click Set Default. Click OK on all the windows and try again.

That should do it hopefully!

Hi Neil,

Thanks for that but in Internet Exlporer / Options / Connections I do not have an ADSL option in order to set it to default?
