Panasonic FAX KX-FC379CX, adjust transmission level

I am trying to use the fax machine that I bought from overseas (Panasonic model KX-FC379CX), when I tried to use it, it tells me that the transmission failed, the error report part of the error showed below :

Telecom recommends the fax machine be adjusted for a transmission level of -15.0 to -17.0 dBm as the optimum range. Contact supplier for adjustment.

How can I adjust that , because when i went through the manual I could not find that option!!!!
Regards

Different counties have their phone networks setup in different ways and to different standards, as a result buying telecoms hardware from overseas can cause problems depending on standards. Having said that FAX machines are not supposed to be purely local devices and should normally be intelligent enough to adjust themselves, thus allowing FAXES between different countries.

The RX setting on a FAX machine is usually the one that allows for dBm to be tweaked although whether that particular model will do it I do not know, nor can I be sure about the best implementation to use. The dBm can also differ depending on whether you’re transmitting or receiving.

The manual document for your fax may help and if you don’t have one then try the manufacturer’s website, most good hardware developers will have an online version in .PDF or similar format under support pages.
