My parents were with vodafone for internet/land line with a calls package and x2 vodafone sims. This year the router went flaky. It kept losing wifi and dropping out.
Vodafone kept trying to flog a dead horse and "try this and try that". They refused to send an engineer or a new router out. They wanted them to stay but were not willing to fix the problem. They went to EE, not my first choice, I'm with Zen, and have been for years. I use them for broadband and landline, and SMARTY for my cellular connection. EE actually paid off remander of their contract with VF. Anyhow the kit arrived and I installed it. Along with an Extender I purchased from Amazon, for the signal to reach the other end of the house and the bedrooms. I also got thier digital voice line working. It took a little while to start working. Their new EE SIMS's are also working. This was the day of switchover. It dropped the line about 4 times then went stable. I monitored it over 4 days 57Mb down, 16 up. They had ordered the BT entertainment box for sports and a couple of other things. They had booked an Engineer to install that. I know nothing about The TV box. He installed it , I wasn't there. ......... He then reset a perfect line and let the DLM "go wild) (57/16) is the best they get at the distance and it's now at 3.6/2.5. What on earth did he bother for and had it anything to do with the BT TV box ?
