Payment processor = cash advance fees!

There was a report on Tuesday's Working Lunch that a viewer who had purchased goods from a website that uses Nochex as a payment processor, had been charged a cash advance fee by his credit card, and therefore also interest from the date of the payment. Nochex added a warning to their site two hours after Working Lunch contacted them about it, but apparently this has been going on for some time.

Other viewers have since reported that some paypal payments have been treated the same way by their credit card.

See video clip of the latest report here:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/...m=1&nbwm=1&bbwm=1&clip=wl_wed_280307_segment2

I use paypal, and I haven't had a surcharge on my Paypal payments (yet)

PayPal should be OK so long as you are actually following a credit card payment link however if you load money into a paypal account to use later you may find yourself subject to the same problem.

You can't?

I dont have a credit card, but I can easily put money onto my paypal account with a debit card.
