Phone Dialling Query

I’m thinking of joining 1899.com to take advantage of (almost) free daytime calls. I will then have to dial 1899 before every number. The problem is that I want to use the stored numbers in the phone rather than have to key them in every time. My current phone does not allow me to dial one number (1899) and then use the stored numbers. There must be phones out there that do that. Argos lists loads of phones but does not list this facility. Does this facility actually have a name. Any suggestions.
Thanks

My current phone does not allow me to dial one number (1899) and then use the stored numbers.

I've been using prefix number dial-arounds for years and my way is to store the prefix (1899) in say location No:1 and do 'follow on' dialling from the other locations.

I've never found any modern phone (mobiles included) that doesn't allow this.

There's no point in putting all the numbers in again with the 1899 pre-fix as my evening & weekend calls are free with BT anyway. 1899 charge 4p connection which is fine during the day but at other times my calls are totally free anyway so I'd want to carry on using BT at those times.
I don't have a follow-on on my phone...at least not that I can find. I've read the manual cover to cover...many times...and ther's no mention of it.

depending on memory or phonebook space you could save each contact twice say 1-20 for bt calls and 21-30 etc for 1899 calls with the 1899-suffix code

Thank's Nodrog
That sounds like a simple solution. Also gives me a chance to clear out all the numbers I hardly ever use now.

no probs arwenthecat

the simple ideas can sometimes be the best just a little bit of sideways thinking
