what!!! is this phorm jumping into bed with cyber criminals to try and rid the net of any criticism? Mind you it would not surprise me:rolleyes:

We have no proof of this just what has happened I would presume if anything happened to all anti phorm websites would be enough proof.

quite honestly it verifies what l already knew, phorms predecessor company according to rumours which l cant validate with proof supposedly had links to some known russian groups in the security communities.

Phorm have not made any secrets that their scriptors are Russian.

why would they tell us they have jumped into bed with russian hackers? after all if it were known then it would be a problem.. a secret is a secret they wouldnt admit to it and ld expect no paper trail proving it..

now lm not one to believe in gossip but sometimes reading between the lines actually reveals some truth.. a good example of this fact would be the anitchildporn sites out there, normally you would expect each reported site to be passed on to the relevant authorities however most of the time so called "ethical" hackers will destroy the site and gain personal information such as addresses and even credit card information which is then usually what happens goes along the lines of maxing out the balances before passing on details to the authorities, most proper hacking isnt about just doing it because one can these days.. its because there is allot of money to be made in it, some will trick ppl out of their hard earned cash and others will get paid for it... its that simple and tis sad to say but most opt for the russian side of things because its so easy to find someone whos willing to ruin ppls lives that side of the ocean.

придурковатые люди

слушайте к себе ваша паранойя шутка

... its not paranoia talking its experience talking, besides if it wasnt a threat why does a russian need to post on a english ISP forum if phorm havent been giving backhanders to someone to get rid of bad publicity?

No these people are not paraniod they wish to be allowed to select their own level of security, protect their own privacy. Not to be spied on forced through severs using DPI to read everything they do on the internet, which has links into spyware 121 media.

Maybe but he could have been more open instead of posts like he did mind with some searching I wonder.. there could be links.. a possibility of being in the same line of business..

In 2008, the Association training conference is "The Internet and Business" - a non-profit organization established by Russian Internet companies to coordinate the establishment and development of the Russian Internet market.

In association composed of the following companies

C AdRiver System is a product of group companies Internest. To tackle their tasks AdRiver use large advertising agencies and the Russian part of the site on the Internet.

At present, complex software AdRiver provides more than 800 000 000 impressions for advertisements daily, serving up to 10 000 queries per second.

Might be fimiliar to the Russian poster since it is a translation from a search that links to his IP.

Also his hosting company was reported to spamcops in july2007 http://www.castlecops.com/p962542-tramadol_rihanna_and_timberlake.html

No failure here only BT's attempt to stealth the system into our internet, thanks for your input Mark but unless you live here in what is a free society you would never understand our passion for our freedom.

Are you sure it's not some stupid troll using a russian based proxy.

Would have to spend hours looking for a proxy that would give links into similar companies.

With Offices in same areas as Phorm.

您是所有愚笨的 - You are all stupid (hmm, nope we value our privacy we dont resort to name calling the fact you are posting as unregistered shows either you are linked to phorm or just some troll who wants a rise out of us... if you are the later aka a troll then you need to get up outta your chair and look for a real job or something either that or grow up)

This is looksagoodski

"Phorm’s approach The subscriber profile is of obvious interest to advertising firms — why serve ads about baby diapers to someone interested in joining AARP? The advertising firms negotiate with Phorm or NebuAd to provide content through the behavioral targeting application. Thereafter, no matter where the subscriber goes on the Internet, those specific ads will show up on the web page being served to the subscriber."

If that was going to be the only ads the browser dished up, how long would it be before some cracker broke the web?

Or better, some hacker blocked all your advertising?

I wish spam was like that. You could have the ISP target you for the same spam day in day out...

That would be nice.

I'll bet the smaller uninvolved agencies with websites that have ad support are worried. But can you imagine having a spiffing broadband access only to be confronted with Rupert Murdochesque advertising with 5 minutes of advertising per 20 minutes of browsing?

If you ever watched "House" on Channel 4 (or is it 5?) you'd know what I mean. Browser reaches home page/eula and you read it, then there is 5 minutes of rupertesque then the credits stop rolling. It would even have its own TRL:
DFS -damned funny service.

Imo unregistered posting should be blocked for a time, its becoming more of a liability than help.

Or if you really want to keep the ability for unregistereds to post, then move phorm discussion to a forum where you have to be registered to post.

Or, create a new forum specifically for Phorm (or all net privacy concerns).

I think that shelving a forum into nitches that host differnt arguments stifles the vibrancy of a discussion group. There is very little interchange with that hiving off.

And the forum will seem much more dynamic if all the boards were to be merged.

As for disruptive behaviour. it goes with the territory of the internets. All you can hope for is that regulators kill swiftboatmen as soon as they appear. Trolls can easily be mashed once they leave spoor.

It can be fun flaming them. In fact, if an ISP discussion group can't handle trolls.....

that often depends on the trolls not having access to exploits that they either dont know how to use.. or them being someone who just does it for fun in order to get their name out there.

take encyclopaedia dramatica its there to make fun and troll just about everything, there isnt any reason behind it other than that the idea is to cause issues..
