Pipex Deal

oh no way. Look at some of the posts on pipex recently and you will find a slew fo complaints. Its not that the deal is bad value for money its just that Pipex in general are still sorting themselves in terms of customer service, there are other ISP's out there offering similar deals for better CS.

Plus you are tied into a 12 month contract, as a rule of thumb you should go for 3 months or less.

That is unless they changed their T&C recently i havnt checked. (i get the impression they change every couple of days)

er well i havnt looked recently, well i hear good stuff from zen, eclipse, and aquis (i think that how you spell it:) )

tbh i dont really have any idea of who is the "best" isp. Those ones mentioned are good but there are a whole slew of other ISP's out there who might be jst as good but not very well known

check out the user reviews http://www.ispreview.co.uk/broadband.shtml and then google any attractive ones and see if they offer any similarly priced packages

At the moment, I would say not. You should not, as a rule, have to wait for a response back from an ISP by e-mail for seven days. Having allowed a backlog of customer enquiries to build up in the first place, it seems that whomever's running the show now at PIPEX is appallingly short-sighted.

In a sense, the top dogs are the worst to go with if you should ever have problems, since they are either overwhelmed by the level of support they're supposed to give to their customer base, or they wind up addressing this issue but having to pass on teh costs to those customers in new pricing plans.
