Pipex Friends Referral Offer

It's been sometime since I last posted here (over 3 years), as I haven't had any cause to complain!

However, after 2.5 happy years with Pipex ... I decided to take them up on their Friends Referral Offer and got a friend to use my referral code to sign up, which they did.

I have yet to get my 1 Month Free with Pipex, despite sending numerous emails to their Customer Support without response (only getting an automated response to reply in 7 working days).

It would appear that since they have signed-up that Baywatch Geezer to run their advertising to pull in more punters to sign-up, their Customer Service has rapidly declined.

I too have noticed a drop in Connections and despite promises from their Techies, the problem persists.

Would someone from Pipex be prepared to response to this thread here, as you don't seem to be bothered to reply to me direct by email.

To all my old friends here - has anyone seen my dog?

the best referrer scheme i have seen is Namescos.

They pay a flat £30 for every user you recommend to them, no questions and the cash is sent out as a cheque when you hit £50 (ie to recommendations).

Lighterboy - seems you only responded to my thread to "plug" your current ISP's referral scheme ... something which is all too common here.

As I said, would someone from Pipex care to answer my question.

Hmmm. I dontknow about refferal, but I know capt creatin has been trying to get something off them for ages.

I'll also ask my brother about his connection, see if hes been having problems (hes on pipex).

And no, havent seen your dog for a long time :P

If all else fails, you could try making a formal complaint http://www.pipex.co.uk/legal/code-practice.php

If it gets as far as their ADR it will probably cost them a fair amount of money, which may help encourage them to sort the problem themselves. Otelo for example were charging their members £350 per complaint investigated by them.

I didnt know there was a Pipex rep here. And considering how many past threads that have slated pipex's customer service, I would have assumed he's stopped turning up. After all, if they wont answer our emails, or pick up the phone then whats the chance of them coming to the ispr forums :hrmph:

spy_sat5,

I don't think there are many reps that turn up here anymore, and most of the new ones who show up when a new ISP appears are quickly scared away :hrmph:

yeah, well, we eat too much red meat anyway

I have spoken with Jonathan in Retentions Department today - he said quote " If there is a problem with Friends Referral it is down to your friend not quoting your Username. (I told him it was referred correctly). Well you must take it up with Customer Support and wait in the queue." unquote

I'll be damned if I'm gonna wait in another queue.
