Hello all,
Until about a year ago I was on a 1mb line with Pipex paying £23.44. I saw they were doing a 2mb line for the same price and asked to be upgraded, which they did, no problem and no charge.
Just after Christmas, I noticed they were doing 8mb ADSL max with a 2Gb cap for £14.99, so decided to re-grade to this service. Having just received my bank statement, I noticed 2 amounts of £58.75 have been taken from Pipex. After calling them, I was told one was a setup fee and the other a mistake that would be refunded.
When I originally called for the re-grade to an 8mb, I was not informed about any setup fees, along with not being charged for a previous upgrade and noticing that there’s not even a connection fee for new customers.
Should I have been charged at all for this re-grade?
I've been a pipex customer for around 4 years.
Many Thanks.
