Pipex

I placed on order with Pipes about a month before the local exchange was enabled, it's now enabled as of last wednesday so waiting for the specific date that we will recieve our connection. However I contacted Pipex last Wednesday regarding the order and still haven't had a reply, I've even written back twice asking for a response and spend 25 minutes waiting for them to take my call on saturday before hanging up. I haven't even got broadband through Pipex yet but already I'm fed up with their rubbish service. The order status section on the website breaks atleast a few times a day too. Anyone else having any probs with Pipex at the mo?

Thanks,
The1 :)

well pipex are not known for best CS. could be anything really, but one thing is for sure, it is a good ISP :). Just wait for it....

your telling me they did an offer for 1mbps at reduced price permanently and they wont let existing members take advantage???? all people on the normal price should do what you did, migrate. If a lot of people take the stand, they will reduce the price overnight.

Time to stand up against these amateur ISPs. I for one have had enough of them, all they seem to care about is todays profit.

amateur isp board meeting.....(2 ppl present)...

'hmmm how can we make as much profit as possible today???? sod everything else.'

Pipex support is very good if you can get through to them. Dont bother emailing them always ring them, and then make sure you have a spare 30mins to wait in the que.

The 16 odd months i was with them i was very happy, i just moved because i couldnt justify paying £30 a month when i wasnt using it much but our business still hasd a few pipex connections.

Ben

I would take this as a warning and head over to ZEN or Demon, I have experience with both ISPs and are both Great

The reason for the price difference is the exchange upgrade program. Existing users have to wait for BT to get around to upgrading the exchanges, while new users can have their line upgraded when it goes active. It's has hardly anything to do with Pipex.

As Pipex are the oldest commercial ISP in the UK, I don't think you can call them amateur.

Go on then Rob name and shame, but i do hope you have a good solicitor as the company you name may just have to take a liable suit out against you. ;)

FYI

Didnt you get sacked cos you was the person who sorted (read as was ment to sort but didnt) out the VP's to the exchanges and was responcable for most of the problems in the first place?

lol, u obviously dont know very much, which is a good thing. P.S, I quit for better things, DSL is a lame technology.
Lying is not a good thing, anyone from the company can verify, im assuming you dont have any contacts , and why would they want you as a contact

2 bit isps like yourself cannot afford lawyers, i doubt they can even afford company headed letters :D
