lm looking for something that can manage large playlists of varying filetypes (generally video files), now while l have found something simple to do the job l plan to add more files in the future but it requires me creating a new playlist every time rather than allowing me to update currently created ones with new files.

basically put lm looking for a playlist editor that has an option to skip already added files or even better delete duplicate playlist enteries when l add new content which can export to a filetype thats supported by PotPlayer, any recommendations would be appreciated.

Until I got to the bottom, I WAS going to say, PotPlayer used to be able to do this.
Obviously it doesnt any longer.
Buggering software companies, taking features out while making the programs dog slow to launch.

lve been messing around with an app called Mediamonkey, playlist exporting is a bit iffy as PotPlayer seems to have issues, for some reason it keeps on finding missing files within the playlist, that said the Mediamonkey app doesnt seem to have any issues.

first and foremost it seems to be a music library software, but current versions have a TV/video library feature which means l can create playlists like l wanted and it has a built in player, the up side is it can scan for new files remove duplicate entries and also update moved media. so far its doing somewhat of what l wanted though ld have preferred to use PotPlayer its doing the job l wanted it to albeit within the app itself.

It might be worth searching for an older version of Pot Player, the last few versions are VERY slow to launch, or proceed to the next file compared to versions from 18+ months ago.

thats just for music, my question related to a video collection, however lve been using media monkey, and while it does take a little to export my large video playlists it was the only thing l tried that exported one compatible with potplayer.
