After succesfull trials Beijing. PLC is to be rolled out in China.

Most of the BPL experimentation has been taking place in Europe and China. In fact, the recent commercial launch of a new broadband service based on powerline communications technologies may further expedite the development of China's broadband services market. According to Yuanzhe (Michael) Cai, an analyst for market research firm Parks Associates in Dallas, FibrLINK Networks Co., a broadband services provider controlled by China's State Power Telecommunications Center, has just wrapped powerline communications field tests in two Beijing residential buildings, resulting in the commercial launch of those services earlier this month.

Wot no link????

How about a link? Or have you been looking into Madame Fifi’s crystal ball?

Sorry Web Froggy – you will need to try harder!!

You really are a sad person...why do you not check it for youself...but as you are always looking for the next dangerous emission factor to latch onto,Here it is.?

Now I was wondering, do you use your computer, monitor along with other attached peripherals and devices in a lead sealed underground bunker? presumably you also generate your own power to light up your life!

You must be very exasperated at carrying out your 'crusade' knowing that you are also producing such dangerous electromagnetic emission from the very 'tools of your trade', along with it all being so close to you, you must feel like Superman within the 'Kryptonite zone.

Hell an average PC monitor could pollute the world. It can completly disrupt radios within 3 metres and with a nice directional arial and good test kit you can pick up the interference at the end of the street and as for electricty supplies they are going to have to be shut down heck they generate tons of electrical noise.

I wonder when this guy will wake up to the real world. Every piece of electical equipment generates noise. Radio Ham's are quite a common cause of problems. Perhaps we had better shut them down and mobile phones ah and cars they generate interference. Fridges can be another cause

Say No to PC's I say gross polluters they are.

Of course in practice they cause no significant problem but we migh as well live in Say No To PLC's fairy tale world

...

Funny you should mention that. For anybody that doesn`t believe you, perhaps they should take a look at this - http://www.erikyyy.de/tempest/ . Or to sum up -

What is it ?
------------

Tempest for Eliza is a Program that uses your computer monitor
to send out AM radio signals. You can then hear computer
generated music in your radio.

this document first describes tempest for eliza, the old program that
plays music like your cellphone does when you get a phonecall. then it
describes tempest for mp3 which you can use to play mp3 files :-)

Heck I believe you, we all have seen FCC and now EU emmsion control stickers plastered on our equipement, it is poor PLC say no..who has the 'gross polluter' problem. ;)
