Plusnet blunder: Personal data of 20,000 customers e-mailed to 3,500 customers.

News of more troubles at Plusnet:

Plusnet User Group said:
Earlier today, PlusNet made an error resulting in 3,500 Force9 customers receiving a .csv spreadsheet file containing account data relating to 20,000 other customers.

The mistake was reported initially on ADSLGuide and Plusnet had already halted the send when we escalated it to management. The email sent contained the following fields of customer data : "service_id", "username", "full_name", "product_name", "subscription_charge", "postmaster_email", "alt_email", "visp", "optout_status", "active_status"," real_name"

The report can be read in full at the Plusnet User Group website.

Wow.

There must be a sabatour there, I cant imagine any ISP being capable of that amount of mistakes/outbursts etc in the last few weeks!

And they have made the site only avaliable for viewing to plusnet IP addresses.

Yes. there. there. hide your shame....

Note: Currently the site is only available to PlusNet IPs until we have managed to put a more permanent fix in place to try and solve the load issue..

Hmm, 'load' issues?

Im sure thats really helpful to people resorting to dialup to try and get online to see what the problem is, given the recent comments about support, including some from the MD.

Sounds very much like the heavy hand of the plusnet higher command, next in will be their spin doctors.

Nope, still inaccessible.

I imagine the 'load' issues will be going on for quite some time.

Hey Inactive, could you ask them what the problem is and how long its going to take to fix?

And then watch them dance.

I could if I was a member Old Dude.. ;) .. I really cannot be bothered to join an outfit with such an obviously biased position.
