Point to Point Wireless connection

I live in south east england and in the middle of nowhere. currently i have a sky connection on a copper cable, my local exchange has not been upgraded nor is there any plans to within the next 2 years. The exchange is limited to 3mb's, i average around 800kb download and 80kb upload. I want to get a 30mb up/down connection and due to my location a point to point wireless setup seems to be the only way to go.

I have contacted all the companies i can find that do residential connections they either say they are not in my area or have a installtion costs over £1'000. The company i am furthest along with is called essexwifi who last replied to an email in Feb of this year.

I have a steel mast that can reach 50ft in my garden and i have no idea where to go next.

Any help would be amazing.

It would be handy to know what county you're in but in the meantime have you checked out our wireless ISP list?

https://www.ispreview.co.uk/isp_list/ISP_List_Wireless.php

At the top right of that page you can input your county to see which wireless ISPs might operate in your region. I've not seen Essex WiFi before so I'll have to add them to that list but two other ISPs operating in Essex are:

Remember that you can often reduce the installation cost by a) grouping up with your neighbours to help co-fund a deployment and b) making use of the Better Broadband Subsidy Scheme (due to end this year - unless extended again).

If you dont expect to use huge amounts of bandwidth, using a Mobile service is a good idea; you can get a good few GB per month for the price of BT line rental; add in the actual cost of a traditional ISP on top, and you have a choice of several 20GB+ packages from several phone networks.

With three dropping restrictions on tethering and SIM device usage, you can get an all you can eat data sim and put it in a 4G router.
data limit is 1000gb a month then :)
