Recently a number of dsl companies have been rolling out faster speeds for less etc, so will Telewest respond soon by doing one or the other or just maybe both?
Spoke to them recently about this, I think they're taking a more cautious line. The 10Mbps trial, if it even ends up as that, will most likely occur internally. Still, I'd expect them to have some responce for the summer/autumn.
I mean it doesn't effect me too much personally as I'm no longer a speed freak and while caps exist on many isps they generally seem too be getting a bit bigger as the competition heats up, not that I care too much as I don't download massive amounts of rubbish thus overall speed and caps matter little to me personally. The main reason I stay with BY is because the of the rock solid stability they have provided me with so far, if it ain't broke then don't fix it. However I don't think Telewest can afford to wait too long as the competition in the dsl market seems to be hotting up a lot and will definitely start sapping customers away from them as the year goes on.
yes I was just thinking abt that.. I being honest with my 4+ years with telewest I hardly had any trouble. but way I look at it they are expensive now 2mb for £35 and 4MB for £50. so I moved to Bulldog I'm sure many will continue to do as most of us joined cable coz of the cheapish broadband.
