ok to all gamers out there who like playing their PS2's lm searching for a way to connect earphones to my TV, sadly the only connections l have are aerial and SCART however since the PS2 is connected via SCART and the PS2 has a video and 2 audio connectors (via a scart converter) lm assuming some way of possibly been able to find something that can possibly do the job...

heh l still have a lil time tho, you see generally lm no gamer however lm an avid fan of the Final Fantasy series of RPG's, in any case l hope someone can help me as lm generally a night person so l need a way of keeping the volume down while making it so l can have it as a reasonable volume so l can hear.

I imagine Im going to sound stupid now, but doesnt your TV have a headphone socket? I dont think Ive ever seen one that doesnt, I thought they all did?

while thats a good question, as most small portables have one the larger wide screen ones dont seem to have a socket for earphones sadly which is what l have.. l did see a SCART block that should work but if theres other ways to do it which dont require me getting my other set of 5.1s out so l can use the jack in on the volume control then it would be be damn useful imho

apologies for the double post however here is an update:

l asked this same question on another board and lve come to a concusion that the only way lm going to do this is by adapters and not some magic box or cable :p l ended up purchasing

1x socket to socket converter
http://www.cablecity.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=22_24&products_id=889

and

1x 3.5mm stereo Adaptor plug to 2 x RCA
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000L9C3GY/202-5433806-2485403

technically l dont think it matters which way the audio is going as long as it has somewhere it ends up LOL plus with the socket to socket sleeve l have an input for my headphones and an input for the adapter where the AV (RCA) audio is going only time will tell if this arrangement works or not :)

forgot to add http://www.proporta.com/F02/PPF02P05.php?t_id=1194&t_mode=des

since lm sure theres no volume control should work l think lve covered all aspects now :D

on a side note yes l made a triple reply but the edit button disappears once l have replied and come back to edit and update the post.. cant even delete my posts if l make a mistake :( gunna pm the admin and request the options be enabled so l can make it so l can merge these posts better
