PuliAX WiFi6 5G router

I've got it all set up, it's replaced a Huawei CPE Pro H112-372
Got dual SIMs in it Vodafone contract and EE Scancom SIM. So far the download speeds are the same as the Huawei around 80-100 Mb on Vodafone 5G signal, upload has improved, getting around 20-25Mb when I used to get between 5-10Mb, guessing this is due to external antennas. Not sure if the Huawei does 4x4MIMO. Changing SIMs to the EE takes about 30-40 seconds. Speeds are a bit erratic with the EE SIM, I think due to positioning, My phone gets over 200Mb in the room i'm in on EE.

The UI is much better than the Huawei, gives a lot more info on the signal. Can also do band locking which I'll have to play around with

Device does have a fan, I haven't heard it spin up yet as it only triggers at a certain temperature which you can adjust

Still need to have a play around with it, if you want to know any other details let me know
would be cool if you can test if it can load balance both SIMs. The documentation I read says "failover" but one review said failover AND load balancing, but he didn't test load balancing. Does opkg update work ? can you install stuff ? e.g. opkg install iperf ?

Looking good though, nice to see you're getting a decent download speed. And yeah I don think the old CPE Pro 1 did 4x4. I believe it's only 2x2. And it didn't do 3CA either IIRC.

With the built in SIM slots it can't do load balancing, as it only has one modem, but can do with the WAN port and I think a USB modem in the USB port.

It has a built in plugin manager, iperf is in there

brilliant. thanks for checking.

Managed to solve the erratic EE speeds by blocking band n7 on 5G. Now it stays on n78 and get constant 150-200Mb downloads on Speedtest

This looks interesting! Does it support cell locking in addition to band locking? Thanks for the first impressions 🙏

Can't find anything in the GUI, but looks like you can do it through AT commands
(uses the same modem module)

just got one yesterday. First impression very solid build and nice packaging. Had an issue with admin page. When you login from 192.168.1.1 it change address to 192.168.8.1 after. i tried to restart router and couldn't figure out why after login it just stop working. In manual says it become 192.168.8.1 after... Menu looks really good. Working great also on phone. Lot of settings and everything is clear. To connect to internet you just need to press auto connect and that's it. Performance so far is pretty good. It boost my speeds a lot comparing to mc801a. 4 external antennas do the job. One issue is with charger. its sooo short its like 30cm. need to order replacement.

Can one of you guys that owns one comment on how long the battery lasts ?

Pls tell me the battery is removable! (sorry can't watch the video yet)
I would really hope so. I asked them on their facebook page but not had a reply yet, will let you know. Pity it's not USB-C powered like other GL.iNet routers are. I don't really see much of a price difference between the one with a battery and the one without either. In fact on Amazon, the non-battery one is more expensive but that might just be because it's amazon. Undoubtedly there's VAT/Import duty on buying the battery one unless you get very lucky with customs

Can’t find any mention of 4g CAT specification anywhere online, does anybody know what it is?
Cat 19
it has a Quectel RM520N-GL modem in it.
Here's the certification declaration document for that modem

word from the FB page is no, it's not removable. I mean im sure you could, but not intended to be user replaceable which seems like a massive flaw. I think it's probably therefore better to get a regular (non-battery) model and power it from a powerbank if you need to.
