Quiet Forum?

You're right! Nothing to complain about :) The forum on adslguide.org.uk is somewhat busier with a big presence from Nildram themselves.

nildram

That was one of the deciders for me, couldnt find much against them when I was looking for a swap. Been with Nildram just over a week now with no problems-touch wood

Just Migrated over to nildram , to be activated 13/01/2003 , one of the reasons is i cant find any bad comments made against them

Not sure on what the pings are like but i heard they seem good

Pipex been going downhill as of lately pinging a jolt server at 130ms isnt my ideal ping ;f

Hi.. well im thinking of moving over to Nildram.. anyone on it already ?, what do you think ?

Shame the dont do a lower priced monthly contract or 3 months.. to get that its almost £30pm

Also anyone know if they block any ports on the lower priced service, since i use my own mail server.

I choose Nildram as they are meant to be the best. First 2 weeks was fine. I have spent along time waiting to to get Broadband, and now i finally have it. However things aint always what they seem. I wouldn't take a word of what their site says as its all crap. I have spent the last 2 weeks trying to play quake3 on-line with ping times higher than a 56k modem. This, as they report is BT's fault for not installing some extra pipes. But i had no problems with my connection after the planed install date, so i find this story hard to believe!. I have e-mailed them with very poor replies. TBH, i wouldn't choose them now. I am sick to death of ISP's offering heaven and giving you hell. Its about time people started to make a noise otherwise they will continue to offer poor service for alot of money. Either that, of you all just sit back and take it.

I know they claim to have ordered their extra pipe from BT around a month in advance of when they'll actually get it - but to be honest that seems rather late to me.

Aside from the fact BT have delayed the delivery, if they were that close to maxing out they've already left it too late to upgrade! Their service isn't budget - it's the going rate, so they have no excuse for not maintaining their network as required to keep the service running in my eyes!

However, this is a temporary problem for them - it's not like it will continue indefinitely - although I would hope they're going to offer some form of compensation to their customers for this level of service?

Always happens. The best ISP's get flooded with people and inevitably the service degrades for all.

Hopefully the two extra pipes will sort out the problems for now.

Cant speak for anyone with probs, But I dont post anymore on these forums simply because there is nothing for me to post about!

Nildram has given me no problems, just good speed! and trouble free connections!

:D

Nildram is terrible, dont go there (might spoil my excellent pings and great download speeds  ) :)

seriously though, Nildram's been fine for me.
