Quik Cares!

In this day and age of increasingly lousy customer service (and I'm not talking just ISPs) it is heartening to get a reply from an MD - thank you David, for your honest reply (re: Quik: any good?)

I too have my suspicions, and if the truth be known, I found it almost too good to be true that Quik were giving a caring customer service (rarely found amongst the bigger ISPs), since the day I joined in the beginning of September.

Irrespective, I do appreciate the effort that Quik has been making, however, there may be some who are wondering what real benefit a 128K service gives over a 64K service - quite simple, I am used to a good ADSL service at my place of work (that I chose) and as a result I now find normal dial up services frustratingly slow. Having campaigned for 2 months now, I have managed to get ADSL interest from 1 person (me!) to 72, however, with no trigger set, goodness knows how long we are going to have to wait for ADSL in a village of 5500!

So carry on with the good work, however, I will probably regret having to sign off with Quik as I am not in position to give good money away to a product that simply does not want to work with me

I too am sad to say im am leaving QuickInternet due to verry bad pings ie.(my brother gets almost as good a ping on his anologue modem as i do on single channel isdn, and duel channel is only verry slightly better).
but like i said previously i am sad about this as thair costomer service is second to none.
shame thair pings and download speeds are not as good as the customer service.

Goodbye Quick and GoodLuck in the future.

I will be sorry to lose you as customers, and if I can sort out the problem I will post a message just in case the next ISP is not working out. Just to let you know that we hope to have another of the major telcos supplying us with ports in December, and so we may be one of the few ISP's with 128k unmetered ports from more than one source. So please keep an eye on the forum.

Regards

well i for 1 have not changed from Quick yet as i dont have the heart to move from this unique isp that cares for its customers as the previous post from David Mitchell proves.
i think i will hang on a bit and hope that in december i will be able to use the other telco as COLT telco that Quick use at the moment (think i got that right) dont seem to like me.

so fingers crossed that in december my ping may change for the better. then i will be a very happy person.

thank U David for replying and proving to myself and others that Quick do REALLY care. :)

note. David pls dont hesitate to mail me if there is anything that will help or i can help with. s.garbutt@lineone.net
