I'm currently on BT's FTTC (with a very distant cabinet) delivered by overhead poles and seeing ~15Mb/s.
I opened a pre-order with Trooli FTTP back in February with a 10 week lead time. Now in mid-May, and a new pole later, I'm still waiting to get connected. Since then Openreach have also got a move on and seem to have laid fibre to the post.
So now it looks like there's two providers on the pole that supplies my house
I think the black box at the top is OR's and the metal frame is Trooli's - is that correct?
I emailed Trooli to see if I could get an updated estimate for when I might go live, but was told they're seeing delays in a location 150 miles away. Go Trooli CS!
Checking BT's site I still can't order FTTP so obviously OpenReach haven't finished the plumbing needed for me yet.
Do I cancel Trooli and go with an OR-based ISP to give me more flexibility in the future, or hold tight and hope? Is there a site I can check with OR availability in case BT haven't updated yet?
