RANT Time - F&W Networks/Hey Broadband

This is becoming annoying to say the least

We were promised during lock down by Day 1 Connectivity Ltd that we could get fibre installed on our estate (we started the conversation with them back in mid-2019)
Nothing came of this, promises led to lies and blocked by the owner

We noticed last year however than F&W Networks where the ones laying fibre into the estate (spoke to one of the installers, nice chap very chatty), this peaked our interest, so a few of us decided to signup for F&W Networks, Hey Broadband was their preferred supplier, so far so good

Problem is, both F&W Networks and Hey Broadband have stated no planned install for the estate at present, which is strange as someone within the estate (20 doors down) has an install date of 6th July
As this is a new estate (7 years) it has comms ducts all over, and the main entry point into the estate is about 10 meters from the front of our house, but they still state fibre isn't available as yet, planned rollout is still months away (at least)

How can someone on the estate be getting fibre, and everyone else isn't? (have checked and it seems he is the only one at present)

Things just don't add up, and is making me very skepticial about F&W Networks and Hey Broadband as neither seems to know what is going on (let alone one reply stated there is no fibre network on our estate as it is not on their current build plan)

Frustrations abound, annoyance level 11, royally P'd

Probably a change of approach by F&W. Previously F&W appeared to provide FTTP to specific poles and then promote that specific location (splitter) to others. This resulted in isolated poles popping up across town.

They appear now to be taking a more structured roll out. Their web site clearly distinguishes between Not Available, Pre-Order (in progress) and Live.

Altnet's are following different approaches and there is a lot of fibre currently lying idle in various stages of install around here.

Others on the estate have now had their fibre installed but nothing is working for them
Seems that F&W and Hey Broadband are cowboys to say the least, get people hooked up on to a non-working network and try and resolve problems after

After a good lot of moaning, we are getting a installation date later today
Still haven't been told why we couldn't sign up a few weeks ago, but if they sort it today then all good
