Seems like some former BT Execs are trying to give the UK ISP market a bit of a kick

For me, it's about testing the waters. What if after a month I realise that actually, BT is worse for me than my previous provider?otherwise you're better signing up to a longer term deal with the likes of BT
Surely the only way you're going to be able to test BT is by connecting via BT they also have a 14-day cooling-off period just in case It's not very goodFor me, it's about testing the waters. What if after a month I realise that actually, BT is worse for me than my previous provider?
I'm all for 0 contracts, or at the very least bringing them waaaay down from 24m

This has caused confusion due to the way some ISPs (notably Virgin Media) implement it, but the 14-day cooling off period is designed to let you have a think about the contract you signed and whether you're happy with it - the objective is that you have a couple of weeks after being upsold on a faster connection than you need to approach it with a clear head and change your mind.I learnt this the hard way last year with Zen. Correct, the 14 day cooling off period comes from The Consumer Contract Regulations 2014, which succeeded the The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.Also, beware signing contracts in service provider stores when cooling-off may not apply at all. I recall it was something of a recurring topic for my service provider, EE.
