Hi folks,
Long story short,
A friend has his copper based bb from Sky (out of contract) and has recently been experiencing dropouts. He suspects the RJ11-RJ11 lead and I've given him one of mine to try. His master socket could be in a more convenient place than present.
He's recently been enabled for OpenReach FTTP, do you think he could switch delivery method, and therefore get a better "master socket" (OLT) location without entering into a new contract with Sky?
Given the push towards fttp I'd hope so but he lives in an HMO (no barrier to fttp install) but is considering a move in the short to medium term. I've suggested he take a 4/5G solution but not sure how nicely that will play with his Sky TV box.
