Remote access for android devices?

Honestly seems like a lot of hassle

Can’t you have two user profiles on android?
The problem is if I lose the device, or it gets stolen, or the screen smashed.
I have experimented with hiding the banking / finance apps too in the event it gets lost or stolen but hiding apps is pants, for one thing you can go into google play and press open and it defeats the entire hiding of the app.

If I lose my authenticator apps for work, it requires them removing the old profile, setting a new one, and me spending about 45 minutes with a guy from our IT department who'll then lecture me like im a 5 year old about taking security seriously, because I lost my phone , my personal phone because work won't give me a work one.

I am currently walking around with my banking/auth apps on the phone i use daily. and I guess i'll have to keep doing that.

I think a key thing to do is not accidentally defeat two-factor or multi-factor authentication where a secret held by the device is accessible without possession of that device.
in the scenario i had envisioned, you would have to have one of my devices, you'd have to enable the VPN, and you'd have to have the remote access password. But i think i'm just gonna drop this idea and keep doing what im already doing.

If you like being awkward, just refuse to use a personal device for work, and express that you object to being belittling by IT support. My #dayjob has a few people in this category.

Either they give you a device just for work, or they can buy something like a ubikey.

Using it now.
Can't get pixel to unlock from the lock screen with it though.
Might have to set it to never lock.
dont know much about pixel though but same problem with this app on the Redmi 10_5G (ie unlocking the lock screen) once the screen goes black (phone sleeps) so what i do to get around it (ie unlock it) is to use adb to unlock it but for that to work the phone need to be rooted though.

If it helps.. That's not something HSBC or Barclays do.
However when using both... droidVNC goes blank.
Weirdly you can still input.. just not see what you are doing.
re going blank -
yeah that's a security thing i see with some android banking apps and some other similar apps too that also prevent the taking of any screenshot of the android app screen whilst using those apps. So more or less when using apps like VNC clients that captures/renders the android screen that's not allowed by these app as they see that as a security risk and that's why I like the Revolut android app for example, as even though you can't take a screenshot when in certain areas within the Revolut app you can mostly do screenshots and use VNC whilst using the Revolut app.
