Router recommendation

Lo,

My D-link G604t is getting a bit long in the tooth and flaky so I'm in the market for a replacement.

Can anyone recommend something that will give me the following:

802.11b/g with good performance
4 ethernet sockets
Good gaming performance
Good port forwarding/DMZ options
VPN Endpoint/server with multiple users

Optional:
USB socket for printserving Canon MP610

This is to provide access for a desktop(wired), 2 laptops(wifi), a mediacentre PC (wired via homeplug), ps3(wifi) in 2 floor house.

One of the only deffo solutions I've found to buy in the UK is the Draytek Vigor 2800G.

I'm loathe to spend £130+ on a router.... but with my list of wants its perhaps unavoidable?

I recently upgraded to a 2wire 2700 HG router - would recommend it to anyone since it's improved the stability and speed of my connection

The Draytek 2800 does have issues with MaxDSL lines and are prone to drop every 5 mins 32-33 seconds if the line is syncing over 4 meg depending on firmware etc etc. one of the guys in the business support unit put SMC Baracade firmware on a Belkin that gave him all the fuctionality of the Draytek plus more, IIRC the Dlink doesnt have the functionality you require, is it a VPN termination point or VPN pass through you need? if it is the pass through a Speedtouch 585 would fit the bill perfectly.

Netgear 834 either wired or wireless , easy to configure ( it does it all automatically ) reliable 1 st class equipement . Novatech .com seem to have some good deals with netgear . Mine is 3 years old ( young really ) never let me down . also check out Broadbandbuyer.com .I got mine from them .

endpoint - I want to have user authentication/termination at the router level, rather than have the vpn server on a pc as I do at the moment.

Think am going to try and bag a Draytek 2600g 2nd hand or refurb'd - around £50.. seems to have essentially same spec list as the 2800g.

...scored a factory refurb 2800g for £85 - should arrive this week, looking forward to tying in with my new ISP :D

...and bloody marvellous it is too :D

Wake-on-lan functionality of PC's attached to it, the VPN server, excellent wifi performance, an increase in linespeed, and solid UPNP.

Worth every penny.

The Drayteks can have some issues with DNS but manually assigning them will sort the problem, if your on a long line use the uk2 firmware it seems to be a lot more stable.
