Got the Galaxy Buds2 in today, well, they're actually my mother's that she got with her Flip3 but I thought I'd take them for a spin to see what they're like. And, to be honest I'm not impressed with them at all, I genuinely find them hard to listen to!
I'm no audiophile so don't know the correct stupid words to use, and as a rule I generally ignore 'proper' reviews of headphones as they talk a load of rubbish.
With the Buds2 I found the high end is just far too harsh for my ears, I also found the vocals to be a bit harsh on the ears as well. Listening to Adele was now physically painful rather than just emotionally painful!
The bass on was actually quite nice though, it was very clear, but as someone who has a preference for headphones with a bit more bass it did feel a bit lacking compared to what I'm used to.
I put my Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pros back in and they sounded much fuller, especially with the personalised HearID EQ thing. I tried messing around with the EQ on the Samsungs and it made very little difference, if anything it got worse when I took it out of the normal mode.
Call quality with them was also relatively poor on the Buds2, on my end other people's voices sounded very thin, and on their end I apparently sounded like I was wearing cheap headphones. By contrast, when I put my Soundcores back in, the person on the other end said I sounded much better, as if I was just talking into the phone normally.
One thing the Buds2 are is comfortable, so much better than my Soundcores. They're very light and genuinely easy to forget they're in your ear! They also don't have a stem so you don't look like an absolute muppet, but it also means they're hard to put in and take out, especially with the very slippery plastic Samsung decided to use. Within 5 seconds of taking them out, I dropped one on the floor.
In the year that I've had my Soundcores, I've never dropped one!
