SAT Problems

Don't seem to be the only one having problems dialing up and gettng enganged tones.

Does anyone know if SAT are putting new servers in and thats why there is lower availability? When I finally connected last night the connection sounds very very differnent to those I normally hear.

Is there any new why this is happening or when its going to get better?

I joined SAT back in February, left freeserve because I thought that was poor but OMG! Didn't realise what I was letting myself in for <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

From day 1 the service was below average, unable to connect, slow connections, repeatedly disconnected. Despite emails to customer support and ranting on their forum I received no replies I guess they don't make 50p a minute by replying to emails :p Although a lot of empty promises were made on their forum from day 1 NONE were ever delivered.

I can honestly say that SAT took the enjoyment out of using the internet :(

Anyway I've now left and thanks to ISP review have found a much better provider :)

But my advice as an ex SAT user to anyone that's thinking of joining them is STEER WELL CLEAR it aint worth the aggravation.

And yet when they move to their new provider and the connect is fab ( which it will be) you'll be back :)

EVERy friaco ISP is suffering - so if youve found a better one its either AOL, surftime or a BT Friaco ISP and theres only 1 left to choose from!

SAT has been quite good for me and it aint slow at all so it must be your area that is affected.

Which ISP are you with now?

Pete,

I really *do* think that you ought to confine your postings in other forums under a separate "pseudonym" rather than the one you are currently using. Just my thoughts on it.

Hi Merlin,

As far as i am aware no-one at SAT minds me posting in their forum here - afterall i am still a customer for a short while. but yes noted i will see what i can do.

Hi Pete,

Yes, I do know of your other "affiliations", but genuinly thought what I said.

I am aware of some of the rules and did not mean to imply impropriety of any sort, just seemed "wrong" to *me* and could be regarded differently by others.

Your usernames elsewhere, perhaps, would be good, except that I know you gave up the C suffix which is now taken.

Just get a grip of the other area and get yourselves down to the Southern part of the county - now that *would* be good news posted by any pseudonym. :)

Regards,

M.
