Scancom EE - 2G/3G/WiFi/4G Calling?

Hi,

This is my first post on here so please forgive me if I’m doing something wrong. I did extensively look through other forums but couldn’t find an answer to this question. I have recently been considering buying a SIM from Scancom, this one specifically https://amzn.eu/d/e1Q6Rhl which has unlimited everything. I was hoping someone with experience with Scancom could tell me whether, when put in my iPhone 14 Pro, it would function like a regular EE SIM, such as being able to access 2G and 3G, as well as 4G Calling and WiFi Calling, with no speed caps or unavailable bands.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi alknapps, Scancom EE SIMS are genuine EE SIMS and do indeed have access to everything as offered by EE themselves.

You can find all things mobile related in the forum above in case that may be of interest to you, oh and a warm welcome along to the ISPR forums. 😊

Hi, thanks so much for the prompt reply, looks like I’m moving to Scancom then! EE’s pricing nowadays is extortionate, £30 a month with speed caps 😬 £15 a month for unlimited everything isn’t too bad I guess :) Thanks for the welcome as well, I’m not too knowledgable about mobile networking but I’m looking forward to learning!

Yes the Scancom SIMS offer great value alknapps, I have 3 of them but mine are all just for data, 2 three SIMS and one for EE.

Oh every day is still a schoolday, I learn something new every day and I'm not a spring chicken any more alknapps. 😁

What do you have three SIM’s for? Heard 3 have some crazy 5G speeds, been disappointed by EE’s lacklustre approach to 5G, shame 3’s 4G isn’t great.

I have one in a router just for smartplug and security camera use, and the other in my mobile in case my Smarty data runs out.

I use it for three speed tests as that really uses up the data, yes three 5G speeds can be amazing, that's the best I've managed so far on three.

Best I've had on EE 5G in my area was 120 megs.

Can you port a phone number to and from the Scancom EE sim ? you’d certainly need to set a reminder before 08-09-24, when the sim ends.
