Scancom SIM. Throttled?

I think they also reduced power, too, the 5G signal doesn't go into my loft now, not even at mid-day,it used to couple of months back.
I lost 5G-NSA from the beginning of 2024 and noticed camping on 2CA B1+B3 connections.

Excluding B1+B3 brought back 5G-NSA. A subsequent experiment tried re-enabling exactly one of B1 or B3 and it was found camped on 4G LTE again.

Obviously not relevant if your router no longer sees the 5G ENDC mast anymore.

I typically see B20 or B28 for the PCC, which obviously aren't great which is why I wanted to add one or both of B1 or B3 back, but I find 100 MHz of n78 makes up for a lot in the download direction.
Cheers @mikeliuk - this trick worked for me. Locking the 4G bands to B20 forced a 5G connection which look and behold works as before now.
Upload is great too, 70-80 Mbps - it uses 5G for that.

That's some really dodgy stuff Three is doing here forcing people on oversaturated 4G like that.. I was getting sub-1Mbps download speeds...

Making the network appear worse than it is to support the merger!

Are you downloading from Steam?
yes. sorry been pre-occupied all weekend and yesterday with fixing some home network issues didn't have time to come back to this until just now. But it does seem to me like im being throttled after hitting a certain amount (like over 100GB). Because this seems to happen at any time of the day, not just at night.

If it is the case, it would seem a bit unfair for Scancom to throttle me when im nowhere near the FUP. According to Scancom the FUP is 850GB and i'm at just a bit north of150 at the moment.

When updating my Xbox games my speeds remain at the best I can get on the Scancom EE SIM dabigm, sometimes in excess of 400GB at a time.

Perhaps its just because the best I can get is around the 70 megs mark though. 🤷‍♂️

ok now i demand to be treated fairly too ;)
im fairly sure it's not network congestion ( i mean, maybe but I don't think so) since I can hold up a phone on the three network in the same location and get much faster speed. And the problem doesn't seem to occur to my scancom sim unless i've downloaded a lot.

Bit rubbish that.
It is, but what really grinds my gears is the fact they advertise it as Unlimited whereas there's a vey clear by now 600GB hard limit.
That's a 600GB SIM, not an Unlimited one, it's false advertising.
