Our (very) rural lane has had (Openreach) fibre since November 2021 so I was surprised to find a couple of engineers running a second parallel fibre cable down our poles.
When I asked they said is was at the request of Frontier Networks (?).
It's not a capacity thing as we're the last two houses served down the lane and we both have fibre up and running.
I've checked a couple of non-BT providers (eg CityFibre) but they all said "we have no current plans in your area". However, the BT checker also said that for a while after our BT fibre went live so I can see that's not necessarily 100% true.
So how can I find out which ISP/altnet/etc the new cable is for ?
Is there a "future rollout" map somewhere ?
Cheers
