I use a router with its own firewall on my home computer but I have the same safety measures installed as on my laptop. So, firewall was Zone Alarm Pro but there have been so many problems with version 7 that I'm now trying out Comodo. I have avast! as my AV and I also have AVG anti-spyware (formerly ewido). Possibly OTT at home but necessary when travelling and using wifi.
Oh, and I always make sure no one can shoulder-surf. :D

I use NOD32 anti virus (the best I have ever used) along with my router firewall and Sygate Personal Firewall Pro (no longer supported, but the best of its time) I would love to upgrade my firewall but others i've tried seem over complicated compared to sygate.

Norton Finally Get Their Act Together, Hurrah!

I "left" Norton for three years, then tried out almost everything else. I think that F-Secure Internet Security is one of the best packages around, but have been using NORTON INTERNET SECURITY 2008 for the last 10 months. NIS2008 is quite a revelation! It supposedly only uses 25% of the resources of previous versions and, unlike other packages that include a firewall, IT JUST SITS THERE QUIETLY DOING ITS JOB.:D NIS2008 IS THE BEST (at least until NIS2009 comes out in about October 2008).

The "Identity Safe" & "Internet Log-ins" features also work well.

I BOUGHT IT ONLINE FROM "BuyNortonSoftware.Com"

In the past I have used both free and paid for versions of Zone alarm AVG And Kaspersky . Zone alarm I found becomes corrupt easily .Kaspersky a complete disaster .I am now using PCtools security Suite which was a free offer by a computer magazine .I like it so much that in 12 months time I will willingly pay for a renewal of it .
I have also used Avast Antivirus for which I have no complaints.
