So my nearest OR cbt will have its fibre connections attached to the OR network around october this year. I'm currently on 16/1 with vdsl2.
I've been playing with the Sercomm LTE2122GR lately. Three/smarty seems the best network given the geography of my house.
16/1 is normally quite usable except for downloads and uploads, I do need better uploads and my 100gb three sim fits that purpose. I would get more data if i could sort out the problem below.
I do think i need cell locking/band locking but both the branded zte and zyxel devices seem to have that missing, unless theres a hack for that? The reason I think i need this that the 5mhz band which the Sercomm connects to varies massively from 50mbits down to, 4mbits and upload from 17mbits down to 0.1mbits.
Idealy i need bridge mode. Atm i'm using wifi to switch between vdsl and 3.
I wanted to switch to 3/ee for internet for the next couple of months and move the phone number to voip so i can have the copper ripped from my house when i get fttp but that seems no go now.
My route on mobile internet is clear as mud, so some help from you guys whom have had the ZTE MC801A and NR5103E might be able to shed some light on this. Should I tinker more and change lte router or should i just stick with the above set up.
