Show off your deals - megathread

IIRC it’s capped at 10Mbps for the £10 offering.

You can pay more £18 for no cap.
Ah okay thank you

I still don't really understand the 10mbps speed caps from EE, it's such a 2015 American LTE network thing to do, all of these speed limits are being removed over there as they rollout their 5G, and were adding them in, disappointing

At £18, why wouldn't you just go for O2 with VM and enjoy roaming + Priority

I'm on £10/mth unlimited everything with Voxi, which they were meant to kick me off after a year. It's now coming up to around 4 years.

Three, I have unlimited data for £6/mth, but 2p/text and 3p/min on top (not really an issue).

EE is on around £24/mth (I don't really remember, honestly) for unlimited everything, plus EU roaming, plus some other random benefit I don't use.

O2 is £17.59/mth for 200 GB, which is probably the worst deal out of everything, but I have the no-cap free roaming through Volt so I often use them when roaming alongside EE depending on the roaming partners. Contract ended this month so I should probably negotiate a better deal.

Looks like they may need reminding......
I know just the person who can do that.(I'm not bitter) 😤
Dear three...... :devilish:
tongue.webp

I've been getting double data for being a BT Broadband customer since cancelling in March, when I cancelled (FTTP was available elsewhere), I called the support and lied about having complained 4 times previously and having been told by the department manager on my last complaint they would let me out if they didn't solve it, the woman I was speaking to put me on hold for 10 minutes, came back and let me out of the contract penalty free. (I only had 1 fault where the whole road was out for a few days, this should have been easy for the worker, and the manager who waived my contract to view...)

It seems incredibly basic to me that, when you have two contracts that will differ in length, if contract Y is going to be cheaper based on X, do something when X is cancelled and stop giving that benefit

I'm not sure if it's still this way, but it used to be impossible to disable App store mobile billing from EEs side, and if you put a spendcap on the account the person using the phone could just text 150 and remove it (read all of this on the forums)

The workers probably have such a painful time with the system, just like their customers that they're not going to come back and say to me "You've never complained before" because I doubt they even believe that themselves, that's if they can even be bothered to go through what looked like hell to look all of this stuff up

Was in an EE store and the guy tried to load up my account on his tablet - I couldn't tell what was causing the issue, the 8 year old Windows tablet or their web app running on the old MS edge that crashed multiple times while trying to scan my ID to make a new SIM for me, making the process atleast 4x longer

I think the best deal I’ve had is unlimited everything for £10 a month on Three, including Go Roam.

It’s a shame O2 Open can’t be applied to sim only tariffs anymore. That would bring my current plan down by £1.60 :ROFLMAO:

Tbh I wish I could have multisave on but you can't get two discounts at once and the VM £13 discount bolt-on (for my mum's 100GB for £7) and my £6.50 discount bolt-on is worth a lot more than 20% off

Would then be somewhat close to the price I was paying originally for Virgin

Unfortunately I have never lived in a cabled street so Volts a no go for me.

O2 changed the Open discount T’s and C’s a few years ago to refresh plans only.

the discounts I'm talking about are related to the Virgin Mobile migration

The only plan change that O2 did with Volt was doubling my mum's 50GB (she doesn't even use 1/15 of it lol), the rest was the usual Travel Inclusive Bolton (I feel like I should have it included in my plan but I cba complaining) and broadband speeds doubling

Ah I see. I forgot about the Virgin migrations. Looking at this thread it seems O2 were generous compared to their standard plans on o2.co.uk

Is the EE BB £10 ultd plan speed capped?
Just got mine can confirm that unfortunately the speedcap has been applied don't even think I'll get use out of the unlimited so might change it for Spusu 30GB for there uncapped speeds and EU Roaming instead

I accidentally made a a call using my Three £6 SIM the other day and wasn’t charged.

I’ve a spend cap of £0 set on that line.
Interesting... Any calls I made with a £0 cap on that SIM instantly redirected me to Three Business support, which threw me off the first time! Most freerated numbers were fine, though.

same here, no calls without increasing the cap.

Probably a really stupid question, but do I need anything special to get a business deal (e.g.: be a sole trader)?
It's a bit of a lottery getting that deal if you don't have a business joaocadide.

Sole trader is definitely the best method, if like me, you don't have a business. (Just use your name)

If you do have a business then you'll be able to provide them with whatever they may require as proof.(If they ask for any)

I myself was never asked for any proof at all that I had a business, but some applicants have been asked for bank account details as proof of the business etc.

It's just down to luck I think, I have no idea how they decide if further proof is required or not. 🤷‍♂️

Best of luck my friend.🤞

@joaocadide

Put a few books or bits of old tech onto ebay and use that as your evidence of trading if you are challenged.

Anyone can identify as a sole trader, and you only need to officially submit tax returns (self assessments) to HMRC if you have earned over £1000 as a sole trader (which you won't and will instead lose £72/year!).

No further evidence should be needed by Three and hasn't been for me or anyone else I know who chose sole trader, and there's no need as a sole trader to have a separate bank account for those finances.

I have a quick question for you kind sir.

Will you be updating your 3 coverage checker soon?

It still shows old three 5G data compared to the 3 checker.

Thank you for your attention. 😊

As posted in the other thread.

£9 for 16gb on EE, 100mbps cap, 12 months with stay connected data.

Was previously paying £14 for 25gb, uncapped.

Average usage is 500mb.

Edit:
This is the 1gb plan for £20 with loyalty discounts and extra data added
