Apols if this is a bit out of the scope of the forum but I will ask anyway !
We are planning to move our landline (which is still BT copper based) to some kind of digital service, When considering which bit of hardware we will need to sit between our Gigaset cordless phones and our router/modem it would be good to have something that had the ability to record both parties occasionally, Ideally this would be a one touch type solution .....
As regards the ethics of this (both morally and legally) I realise that when companies record telephone conversations they always tell you that it might happen. Is this just good practice or is there some kind of privacy legislation that makes this a legal requirement ? Also, what is the situation when it comes to private individuals who are instigating the call and want to record it ?
Many thanks for any information/comments on the above.
