It's not Sky limiting you, it's BT's line management software. For that low a profile, you must have had one or more low-speed sync events. It suggests that you need to take a good look at your internal wiring to remove any noise pickup, which is the most likely cause of the low-sync events. Disconnect the ring wire at every socket, not just the master, and ensure that you are using pairs, eg blue/white with white/blue, throughout. Disconnect any extensions you don't need and double-check that everything connected to the line is filtered (except the router, or course).
