Sky Hub - All Green But Unable To Browse

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to get some help with my issues above, Over the last month or two I received a new router from Sky, their 4.2 router as part of their Wi-Fi guarantee service, however I’ve noticed that I’ve been experiencing issues when working from home that from time to time I get issues with not being able to access the internet despite the router saying it’s connected to the internet.

After a bit of digging in the syslog I found that the WAN IPv6 address keeps refreshing every 10-30 mins, and also looks to be causing the IPv4 address to refresh as well.

I plugged my old flat Sky router in out of curiosity and had no issues, the only time the external WAN refreshed was around once a week. I’ve had the router replaced by their customer services and still getting the same fault, I’m not sure what else to do.

@Lucian from what I can see I can disable IPv6 giving out local addresses to devices but nothing for external. I’m wondering if by disabling it for internal devices may help stability. I found it odd that it’s forcing a refresh on the IPv4 too

You can but try the internal, that should stop any connected devices trying to use IPv6, but have another look on the WAN setting for IPV6, its on my old Draytek as a separate page from the PPPoE/Static or dynamic Ip etc so odd not to have it on a newer router.
