Solution to recent AOL problems

Hello. If your on AOL like me then you will have noticed that many websites will have not been working recently. I never thought to use OPEN DNS until now and hey presto it solves the problem.

So go into your router or whatever and change the primary and secondary DNS to these:
Primary: 208.67.222.222
Secondary: 208.67.220.220

And enjoy your browsing!

NOTE: Also I'm not sure if this is thanks to OPEN DNS or because of AOL's network imrpovements but Youtube works like a beast now. (Whereas before it was really slow on some vids, faster on others)

I switched to OpenDNS when my ISP (not AOL) had problems with their DNS servers too - it's become quite well known about.

Apparently the current DNS issue is yet another AOL problem.

The websites that were previously not accessable was a different fault (they were not even pingable), which has been rectified.

I found that using You Tube causes AOL to unhinge at the phone line. Me being double indemnity (or should that be double demnity?) with with CarpetWhathose phone line too.

So how do I rewind the knicker elastic?

I updated the settings on my router but I still got problems with belkin.com, I can only see the site through a proxy server :crap:

Thanks anyway for the tip :D
