Some better news for V21 ADSLMax users

I just spoke to EzeeDSL and bullied them quite a bit. I was on an ADSLMax account through Zazizam with V21 being the provider behind Zazizam. My account was uncapped and cost 29.99 a month.
EzeeDSL will give me the same, including a fixed IP for 24.99 a month. This is a new package that hasn't been released yet but if you are prepared to bully them you should be ablke to get it too. I am also going to be paying monthly.
I have no idea hopw good EzeeDSL are going to be and am not happy at being bullied into joining them but at least this is better than anything previously offered and better than any other ADSLMax packages that I could find.
Simon.

Uhh ?

Perhaps you didn't find www.fast4.net. I was an EX ( THANK GOD !) V21er and now i've got a faster connection for less money

ADSL max I get 8mg unlimited for £15.95 a month:nod:

Together we inform the world of V21 :D

So what's the service like? My experience of cheap ISPs is that you get what you pay for i.e. p## poor service. Another problem is that I cannot get a MAC code anyway so would have to wait until disconnected and then god knows how long to re-connect.
Another thing, I had superb service from Zazizam. No e-mail probs, full speed 8Meg connection and any raised tickets were always replied to within 24 hours at the latest. If I could I would stay.

Fast4

Reading back through the forums, the old owners of V21 which supplied Zazazam and answered all their CS tickets now run Fast4.
I must admit i have only used them twice for support but it was answered and dealt with very quick.

fast4 is run by the peeps behind v21 - good luck to ya!!!

id have gone for an isp with its own bt central pipes myself...

out of interest what realm does your username end with (the bit after the @ sign)

According to reports if you read the news fast4 is the same director as V21 and they have their own central taken from http://www.ispreview.co.uk/cgi-bin/news/viewnews.cgi?id=EEyFpyuAkAWrdIiIod

Fast 4 continue to build on their network to finish the metamorphosis into an independent ISP without the need for VISP hosted services as it has done in the past.

Steve Kaye, CEO of fast4 said “We are very happy with the way the move has gone and we are now completely free of any VISP platform. Our prices are amongst the best in the industry and we are vowing to keep them that way.”

Steve continued “We have updated our email and web servers as well as our internet connection to give the customer an all round better and faster internet experience”

They've also still got this "We may change these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy at any time by posting the amended terms conspicuously on the Fast4 Internet website (“the Website”) and any variations will be effective fourteen days after they have been posted on the website." in their T&C's. When I was with Fast4 dial-up they changed the T&C's without bothering to notify me (and it wasn't as if they didn't have my email address). Quite frankly I wouldn't trust 'em again and I'd rather not spend any of my time weekly re-reading the T&C's to check for changes! Besides their price is too low to provide a sustainable unlimited 8mbps service of any quality. If you want cheap, you'd be better off going with Sky who can cross subsidise their service.

Fast4

Regards Fast4, I am a Fast4 customer who is lumbered with this shabbles V21/Biscit/etc. I was not aware that Fast4 was part of V21 until the tie up with Biscit resulted in a failure of service. Communication is zero, not a single email to give any explanation of the current state of play. (took my monthly payment though!) I would look for more reliable service providers.

My thoughts exactly although I'm still convinced that V21 are not the villains in this saga although a lot of people did seem to get bad service from them (I didn't). To my mind it is NetServices who are at fault here and are causing all the grief.
In any case. what can I do? Can't get a MAC code so I go to EzeeDSL with a reasonable package or get lost in limbo for anything up to three weeks. I can't do without broadband for that long.

Hi All in reposnse to the thread, FAST 4 are able to provide the service at low cost due to other products and services behind the scenes forcing costs down. It is true that some of the Old V21 staff are now the operating team behind FAST4 and are moving this forward. All i can say is that we would like you to give us the opportunity to save you money, possibly a comparable (£180 per year). I personally would like to save that sort of money if i could and were looking for a provider, (CABLE at the mo),but if you do choose another provider i wish you luck for the future and if there is anything we can do please do not hesitate to ask me.
