Speed test

My 5G internet with Three has settled back today, but i’m a little confused. I use Ookla speed test and tried on both my 2 tear old ipad, and my iPhone 12 Pro.
On the iPhone it says 45mbs, but on the ipad it says 140mbs?
Why the difference, anyone got any idea?

Perhaps one can aggregate more bands than the other Tigerfan?
I'm not familiar with Apple products but just a wild thought. 😊

2.4 GHz WiFi is slower for me than 5.0 GHz too, if use that.

Some older apple products don’t have B32.

Thanks both, whats B52?
Hi Tigerfan, band 32 is a download only band, on some devices it can aggregate with other bands for faster download speeds.

Not all devices support band 32 though, so those devices won't be as fast as devices that can.

Hope that makes sense. 😊

Apologies! I put B52 ( which is either a bomber or a drink!) the bands on my transmitter seem to be either 1, 3, 20, 28, or the other mast has 3, and 20
Cant see any nearby with32

No worries, I knew what you meant. 😁

Cellmapper doesn't list band 32 as it's used for download only.
I suspect it will have band 32 as it has band 28.

Depends where you are and what's available wawapng, where I am, I only have band 20 available and a very weak band 1, so I don't have much choice.

Just to clarify, is this through a 5G modem?

Sounds like the iPhone is getting stuck on 2.4Ghz rather than 5Ghz. I'd try disabling the merged option and trying 5GHz separately.
