"NTL Price Increases Coming Soon
# Tuesday, July 27, 2004
Our sources have confirmed that ntl will be raising the price of their Digital TV service and there will be an increase on ntl’s telephone call features, prices are expected to rise in September this year."
Which is around the same time the speed increases are reported to be finished. what a con..
Is this the upgrade to 1MB? I have run the speed test that ISPreview provide, and it says I am not even rated as Broadband. Am I missing something? (This is Hampshire). Cheers.smallethic said:The date of the long promised speed upgrade must be getting close now. Will it be 1st August?
Hullo folks. I forgot I posted here, and just found my own message! It still seemed slow, so did the suggested test, and it returns 481kbps. This is early morning, so should be fast, I thought. I thought we were supposed to be on 2mb speed. It's no good trying to contact NTL. Plenty of letters telling me to take up TV offers etc, but it won't work the other way! I tried a test last night straight to the modem, with the router taken out, and that was about the same. (Under 512 MB). Is this normal? Cheers.
