Over on HUKD....
Spusu 5G SIM Only (eSim Compatible) - 5GB Data (EE Network) + Unltd Mins/Texts + EU Roaming + International Calls for £1 p/m first 4 months.
Same deal as before isn't it?

For longer term use the £1 p/m for 3 months then £4.50 would be better value though. Also TopCashback Compare should give £13.

Someone posted a deal of SPusu Italy offering humongous data eSIm for about a £5 per month (In Euros)

Cant seem to find that post.

Can anyone in the know point me to it please? Am tempted to try it for longer term use in the UK without the time restrictions that UK operators impose.

I assume Spusu IT is more of a pay as you go service? ~6.5GB for roughly £5 isn't particularly great though but I suppose you have access to all providers.

150GB for that price is great though honestly and it looks like there's rollover too. Prices are clearly much better than they are here 😂

You would be restricted still to only roaming 60 days in 120 days as per the terms

This is from the terms

scheda SIM principalmente in Italia.
considerazione i seguenti fatti:
• dati, minuti e SMS vengono sempre valutatiseparatamente
• se in una giornata la tua scheda SIM viene registrata sia in scheda SIM viene registrata sia in Italia che in un’altra rete dell’UE, questo
giorno viene considerato come trascorso in Italia

translated:

You can only use roaming-included drives if you can demonstrate that you spend most of the time
time in Italy and not to use your SIM card in an abusive or inappropriate way.
This means:
• for a period of 4 months you use your SIM card at 50% in Italy
• you no longer use SIM cards in a row

In case of violations we will inform you via SMS. From then on you will have 2 weeks to use yours
SIM card mainly in Italy. If this does not happen, we will charge you for each MB, minute and SMS the “costs
after consuming the included units” indicated in the table above.
To check if your SIM card has been used abusively or inappropriately, we take in
consider the following facts:
• data, minutes and SMS are always evaluated separately
• if in one day your SIM card is registered both in Italy and in another EU network, this
day is considered to have been spent in Italy

Also the 150 GB doesnt apply internationally...

If Italians can do it (150 GB for a fiver) , Why not UK ?
Greed??

Different MVNO agreements with the MNO? Maybe they don’t have the buying power here?

They use WindTre, who are owned by the same owners as Three and Wind and Tre merged, I do wonder if they are any better than when I worked in Rome

Austria seems to have the best roaming deals..

What I cant fathom is, If CK Hutchison (Three owners) who own WindTre In Austria can afford to give such stonking deals to Companies & third parties like Spusu, Italy, ( A reseller, of sorts, and perhaps profitable too, even Seeek for a while I think) cannot do the same in the UK.

With their large spectrum holding here, surely they can sweep the market clean and leave others in its wake.

Yet they want to sell/merge themselves and have a minority footprint, with meagre offerings (greedy). They even paid £2 billion as dividends last year.

Something stinks and just doesnt feel right about their attitude towards the UK market/business, given they were pioneers once upon a time for 3G and EU roaming, etc.

Vodafone is in the same category. Misery loves company I guess.

The ability of a holding group company to pay a dividend does not imply that every subsidiary is doing well.

That the holding group company wishes to divest itself of a portion of its business might happen for various reasons.
