spusu uk

Unsure if this has been mentioned already or not, but it seems that there isn't a stated FUP in their T&C document. Instead there is a quite arbitrary statement, that I have included below.Surely this goes against Ofcaom net neutrality rules? Not to mention the fact that it isn't truly unlimited. I do have some game files to dl, so I wil feedback if they do take any action, and how much data I have downloaded

Anyone heard of issues with porting from Lebara to Spusu at the moment?

Parents are off to Switzerland next month so was planning to move one of them from Lebara to Spusu to cover it but that might be off the cards...

Edit - confirmed by their customer service - have a couple of weeks so I'm just crossing fingers it will be fixed sooner otherwise I'll have to use a different option.

@garetc hopefully you can port out okay, looks like Spusu are also having issues with Lebara.

Hey all signed up to read more about Spusu! I transfer my main number over to them from Voxi on Monday - hoping all goes fine but a little alarmed by some of the issues people have.

Voicemail isn’t something I typically use but OTPs are a big thing for me, hopefully they work!

I was very worried too, but signal issues with Three, Vodafone and O2 where I live meant that moving to an EE backed network was the only option for me. I moved from Three to spusu at the beginning of the month (with a number port) and I appear to be getting OTP texts. Well kind of. Some appear to arrive instantly while others take a bit more time. And for a recent application with HSBC, it never arrived (after multiple attempts). But tried the next day and it arrived instantly. I don't know what is going on, but it could be something at HSBC's end. But so far, nothing disastrous.

The porting itself - well, that has been a messy affair so far. Despite my number having ported "successfully", my Three eSIM still appears to be active. spusu are looking into it but they blame Three. Spoke to Three and guess what - they blame spusu. So now I'm getting charged by both of them

And spusu support hasn't exactly been great.

Weirdly, if I make a call with the Three sim, the caller ID is still my old number. But incoming calls arrive on the spusu number. It's a right mess.

I’ve managed to port some numbers successfully over the years, but sadly have ended up losing a few good numbers too due to various reasons.

The way we port numbers in this country is a nightmare (still a manual process I believe! Also allegedly involving the transfer of “files” for each service such as voice, SMS etc.) I think other countries it can be done in a matter of minutes or sometimes a few hours on the same day, none of this next working and it could take up until midnight nonsense. 🫤 Plus when problems like yours occur each network just blames the other!

Hope you manage to get it sorted soon.

Well got my new phone today and all the OTPs that I requested worked without any issues so that’s great, it was my main worry!

Must say a few days in and I’m yet to encounter anything major, I did have one missed call which didn’t come through but I can dismiss a one off.

I was in Switzerland roaming with a Spusu eSim on my Pixel 9 Pro XL. Was stuck on 4G (as expected) until I got Basel airport and started roaming in France. I was able to get 5G. At first I thought it was my Smarty SIM connecting, but disconnected and confirmed it was Spusu.
do you even get 5G in UK on your pixel?

What network was Spusu on in Switzerland?

It should roam onto Salt as that is the home network in Switzerland of Spusu

Was it useable though? Parents off on a short trip there and Spusu is the cheapest option. Don't care about 5G as long as the 4G works for basic use (tickets, maps).

Also have read on HotUKDeals the Lebara port issue is fixed so will be trying this soon.

No - that's why I was surprised, and thought I'd share!
Thinking about this a bit more, it does make some sense. Someone on the forum gifted me a BNE eSIM and it the carrier profile initially showed up as 310840 (MNC) but it quickly changed to Play PL.

Spusu converts to Tele2 IoT when roaming abroad and it would make sense if you have 5G if Tele2 has 5G (which I assume it would).
