spusu uk

My s24 used to flag calls on Spusu as HD?

Is the voice quality dramatically bad? Even with VoLTE and WiFi Calling? Considering switching to Spusu - their international SIM sounds pretty good to me

The voice call quality is quite acceptable, I think some people are over emphasising the differences. I had no issues making calls and as I said previously, I think it’s the difference between an audiophile who thinks music has to be on a turntable with a £1k amp and DAC and normal people happy with average streaming quality through a pair of earphones.

I’d agree to some extent, but found the loss of audio quality on Spusu particularly difficult when using CarPlay (handsfree) — it made holding conversations difficult enough that caused me to switch away from them.

Some phones show HD simply because they are using VoLTE. The call quality itself isn't HD However.
Interesting... How can I tell if I'm on a HD or HD+ call then? And doesn't that also depend on who you are calling? If yes - I might be able to live without it - as I rarely make calls outside of Whatsapp (unless it's a doctor's appointment or something like that).

Some people are definitely more sensitive to audio artefacts than others! For me personally there's something about the quality of Spusu calls which feels off but I'm sensitive to audio quality. I'm sure plenty of people couldn't tell the difference even if they spent a whole day trying :ROFLMAO:

The quality is acceptable, but we're not talking about a 128Kbps MP3 vs FLAC quality, more like a 16Kbps MP3 vs a 128Kbps MP3 we get from a streaming service. Anyone can tell the difference between the two.

Spusu, Sky, and Lyca use AMR-NB which is the lowest quality there is, while other use EVS (very good quality) or AMR-WB. Everyone should support at least -WB these days.

In any case, it will work and should be reliable as long the phone is on their list of VoLTE supported devices.

Spusu is getting tired, they're reply time it's long. In the begining
Yeah well it might be ok for streaming music, not sure, I never tried that, but I wanted it specifically for speed tests and it just would never work, don't know why they have to restrict it in that way. 🤷‍♂️

Oh well, their loss Dave _. 🙄
SO your not using Spusu anymore ?
Which network you're using 1P or ?
Thanks
I'm with Smarty, and Spusu, but i'm thinking getting 1P or Mozillion.
Any help

Hi Alleshi, no I couldn't do non interrupted speed tests on Spusu, every time I started a speed test after about 3 seconds the connection reset. :(

I am currently on 1p mobile for my EE data which has no speed limits and works perfectly, it has been great. (y)

Thank you
I'm ordering 1Pmobile, as EE 5G coverage is good where i live.

That's good, I've never had any problems with 1p, I'm sure you'll like it just fine. (y)

I have managed to do uninterrupted speed tests on Spusu, did one the other day and been able to do so for months...

What about the other networks what do they use e.g. o2, EE, Three etc. Thanks.
