spusu uk

Intresting,

As i ported my main number to Spusu.
I had lots of issues with getting OTP from my all banks.
Also i was unable to get any phone calls for days.
It took Spusu couple of days, to fix the issue, and the problem was that i was with Smarty, then Vodafone, 1pMobile SPusu at the end.
Smarty messed my porting files, including Vodafone.
Spusu had to go back and contact Smarty then Voxi (i hate them) to get from them my porting files so i can start getting OTP and do full porting.
At the end everything works fine, now i can get all OTP with no problems and im getting calls (my employer was mad with me why my mobile was always switched off).
I'm happy with them now, they are doing Unlimited plan for 29.90, hey i know that there are cheaper providers, but with Spusu i get great coverage, they use ee, i get HD+ calls, i get good 5G. And most important they know how to resolve your problem, you talk to them on the phone or whatssapp.
With Smarty when i used googlepay i never received transaction of purchase using my bank cards.
Voxi terrible costumer service.(avoid them)
1pMobile they r good, but paying 20 pounds for 200gig not enough also you will not get HD+ calls.
Spusu will allow you to make calls even though you don't have credit on your phone to make international calls.(it's like pay montlhy but they are PAYG.
Can't say that's been my experience, Support is good-ish. They don't seem to be able to fix anything, the app is still a mess, even after I reported issues 3 weeks ago, because it's not really an app - just a weblink, but it doubled up on the context menu at the bottom

Interesting snippet, you can buy and then store the eSIM for 6 months before activating it.

I’ve bought one of their £1 for 4 months 5GB sims as I’m going to need somewhere to port my slo2 number to when the contract hits minimum term in May as I’ve got a cheap Voda sim to cover 2G for rural calls so have no need for slo2 in future.
even if you change your phone u can still use the sim QR code to activate it on other device

I went through this pain with spusu last October ☹️ OTP and shortcode SMSs for some services just do not work (including banking and retail e.g. Amazon - seemed random as to what worked and what didn’t - but around half of my accounts failed). I raised the issue with support who were very responsive, but then I read other reviews from earlier in the year which mentioned the same issue. So this problem has been around for a long time.

It’s a shame as I like supporting smaller operators, and the service was good - no apparent throttling of EE speeds, but I couldn’t use it with my main number ported in.

I hope they can get it fixed in the not too distant future…

I did not have any problem with porting my number back out after 1 month.

I hope they fix it too, I’d gladly go back. I can’t seem to get 4G calling or WiFi calling working with Lyca PAYG, don’t know if they only allow it on PAYM, I’ve emailed them

Spusu suggest they only support iPhones or Samsung devices for WiFi calling.
This would also affect text messages over WiFi and other stuff.
I'm tempted to try it in an iPhone 6 to prove if WiFi calling would work

im using iphone with Spusu
and wificalling also Volte works perfectly
You switched it on. But that doesn’t mean it works. My Vectone SIM let me switch on VoLTE on iPhone despite being a 3G only network that could never even do LTE for data never mind voice.

Have you confirmed by placing a call that you stay on 4G that VoLTE works and then switching to flight mode and enabling WiFi only to confirm WiFi calling works?

When I tried this network on my iPhone neither worked a little while back.

Currently use Spusu as my backup, and can confirm that WiFi Calling works fine with iPhone, although I had to email them to get them to enable it at SIM level. They emailed back within half an hour and it was done!

VoLTE worked straight out of the gate.

Have we actually seen anyone test this in a Samsung to be fair?

Seems very unlikely that HD+ (EVS) is happening on Spusu but it's worth checking out.
From what I’ve seen and heard on my iPhone, yeah I know it’s not a great test just going by ear, it really isn’t HD+. It’s not HD either so there’s naff all chance of it being HD+
